Refund Policy

We want every RebelSites customer to have a website they are proud to publish. If the Service is not the right fit on a paid plan, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid charge under the terms below. This Refund Policy is part of, and incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service.

1. Summary

  • The free plan has no charges, and therefore nothing to refund.
  • Paid Published plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription period.
  • Refund requests after 14 days are not generally granted, but you can cancel at any time and your subscription will not renew at the next cycle.
  • If you believe you have been charged in error, contact hello@rebelsites.ai within 60 days and we will investigate promptly.

2. 14-day money-back guarantee

When you upgrade to a paid Published plan for the first time, you have 14 calendar days from the date of your first successful paid charge to request a full refund of that charge. If your refund request meets the conditions in Section 3 and is not excluded under Section 4, we will refund the charge in full to the original payment method.

The guarantee applies once per customer and once per organization. It applies to the first paid subscription period only and does not reset with plan changes, downgrades, upgrades, or new sites added to the same account.

3. What is eligible

You are eligible for a refund under the 14-day guarantee if all of the following are true:

  • You request the refund within 14 calendar days of your first paid charge to the relevant subscription;
  • You request the refund through the channels described in Section 5;
  • Your account is in good standing and has not violated our Terms of Service, including the acceptable-use rules;
  • You have not previously received a refund under this guarantee for the same account or organization;
  • The charge is for a paid RebelSites subscription (not for taxes, third-party services, custom-domain registration through a registrar, or any other amount paid to a party other than RebelSites).

4. What is not eligible

The 14-day guarantee does not cover:

  • Renewal charges after the first paid period (your subscription auto-renews; cancel before the renewal date to avoid a charge);
  • Charges more than 14 days after your first paid charge;
  • Add-ons, additional sites, or upgrades purchased on top of an existing paid plan;
  • Annual subscription renewals beyond the first paid year (we may, at our sole discretion, offer a partial refund for accidental annual renewals if you contact us promptly);
  • Accounts that have been suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Service or for fraud, abuse, or misuse of the Service;
  • Domain-registration fees, certificate fees, taxes paid to government authorities, or other amounts paid to third parties through or alongside the Service;
  • Promotional credits, free trial periods, gift codes, and any non-cash incentive value.

5. How to request a refund

To request a refund under the 14-day guarantee, do one of the following before the 14-day window closes:

  • Email hello@rebelsites.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject line “Refund request”; or
  • Open the in-app help menu and submit a refund request from your billing settings.

You do not need to provide a reason, though we are always grateful for honest feedback so we can improve the Service. We may ask you to confirm a few account details to verify the request.

6. Processing time

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and to issue approved refunds within 5 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor (Stripe). After the refund is issued, your bank or card issuer typically takes an additional 5–10 business days to make the funds available, depending on its policies. We do not control this final step.

7. Cancellation versus refund

Cancelling a subscription is not the same as requesting a refund. Cancellation stops your subscription from renewing at the end of the current billing period; you keep paid access until that period ends. Refund reverses a charge that has already been made.

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account dashboard. We do not charge cancellation fees. If you cancel during the 14-day window and also want a refund, please make sure to submit a refund request as described in Section 5; cancellation alone does not trigger a refund.

8. Pro-rated refunds and exceptions

Outside of the 14-day guarantee, RebelSites does not generally provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods. We may, at our sole discretion, offer a pro-rated or full refund in exceptional cases, including:

  • A documented Service-wide outage that prevented you from using a paid feature for an extended period;
  • A duplicate or accidental charge;
  • A billing or pricing error on our end;
  • Other circumstances we determine warrant a refund.

Granting a discretionary refund does not waive any of our other rights and does not establish a precedent for future requests.

9. Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe a charge is unauthorized, incorrect, or otherwise problematic, please contact hello@rebelsites.ai first so we can resolve the issue. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us is rarely faster, can result in additional fees being assessed against us, and may lead us to suspend or terminate your account while the dispute is open.

We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks we believe are invalid and to recover from you any chargeback fees, processing costs, and reasonable enforcement costs we incur as a result of an invalid chargeback.

10. Taxes

Where we are required to collect taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax) on your subscription, those taxes are remitted to the relevant authority. If we issue a refund, we will refund the corresponding tax that we collected; if your local authority allows you to recover that tax separately, you remain responsible for that recovery.

11. EU/UK statutory rights

If you are a consumer (not a business customer) located in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal that allows you to cancel certain digital-service contracts within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. This Refund Policy is at least as favorable as that statutory right and does not limit it.

When you start using the Service immediately after purchase, you expressly request that the Service begin during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that, to the extent allowed by law, you may lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed. The 14-day money-back guarantee described in this policy continues to apply on top of any remaining statutory rights.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version that applies to a particular charge is the version published on our website at the time of that charge. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the Service.
